Tens of thousands of Marylanders are at constant risk from the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) Facility being built in the Cove Point Community in Lusby, MD. We need Governor Hogan to require a safety study immediately! Call Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s office (410) 974-3901) to demand he order a public and thorough safety study for the fracked gas export terminal Dominion is building there — and we want him to order a halt in construction while the safety study is performed! Remind him that 1,000 people live within 8/10 of a mile, in the case of a flash fire.

Two More calls to Hogan for Environment reasons

Call Governor Hogan (410) 974-3901 – Stop Eastern Panhandle Expansion project.

The company behind Keystone XL wants to build a fracked-gas pipeline through Western Maryland. If built, the Eastern Panhandle Expansion project would transport fracked gas from Pennsylvania to West Virginia, crossing through Maryland and under the Potomac River and the C&O Canal along the way.

Call and tell him to protect the drinking water for millions of Marylanders by denying the Clean Water Act certification that is required for this pipeline to move forward.

Call Governor Hogan (410) 974-3901 Save the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)

Tell the Governor that we want him to make sure that Maryland stays on track with the other Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) states to meet the self-imposed goal of at least 5% annual reductions in carbon pollution from 2020 levels through 2030. Given the Trump Administration attacks on clean energy, it is more important than ever that Maryland do what needs to be done.

Although the time for taking official comments is past, we can still make important input by making the phone call to our Governor.
