Help Save Maryland Bees

June 17, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Tea for Bees

The Sierra Club’s free Bee-Safe and Pesticide-free yard sign project is a wonderful way to raise awareness of pesticides in our yards and neighborhoods, and you can get signs at the Tea for Bees.

Why are Maryland bees still dying at alarming rates?

In 2015, Maryland beekeepers lost 60 percent of their bees and 2016 doesn’t look any better. Bees and beekeepers need your help. Homeowners and communities can take action to make a huge difference for bees.

Join us to help make a difference for Maryland’s bees, learn:

  • Why reducing lawn and garden pesticides matters for pollinators
  • Sierra Club MD’s new statewide Pesticide-Free Yards initiative
  • How you can be part of the solution
  • What are new state and local laws intended to help bees

Free “Bee Safe” and “Pesticide-Free” lawn signs will be available.
