Please join us for a special screening and panel discussion surrounding Ava DuVernay’s Oscar-nominated and critically acclaimed documentary, 13th.

Panel includes:
HANS CHARLES
is the Director of Photography for 13th, currently working on Ed Sullivan and the Struggle for Civil Rights. Mr. Charles has worked with numerous directors, including Spike Lee. His films as a cinematographer have screened at festivals all over the world.

SUZANNE KAY is an award-winning filmmaker previously with CNN and the McNeil Lehrer Report. Ms. Kay was also a consultant for Sankofa.org, a social justice organization founded by Harry Belafonte.

ADRIAN MULDROW
has worked with thousands of individuals returning home from prison and has helped countless people successfully transition from the Criminal Justice System. Mr. Muldrow is also the recipient of Baltimore’s Best Neighborhood Dads award.

Moderator:
JANICE HAYES-WILLIAMS
is an Annapolis native with a long familial lineage in Anne Arundel County as early as 1760. Ms. Williams is a Historian and writer of Our Legacy column for the Capital Newspaper.
